A hand with
hands-free photos.
When something goes wrong, check capturing and saving as separate steps. Here are common causes and practical first checks before contacting support.
Capturing photos
Why did capture stop?
Keep the app in the foreground and the phone unlocked. Switching apps or a camera interruption can stop new photos. Return to the app, check its current state and message, and resume when appropriate. Photos cannot be recovered for moments that were not captured during the interruption.
Why is the actual interval longer than I selected?
The setting is a target interval. Exposure, image processing and saving can take longer than expected. Try a longer interval, a well-lit scene and enough free storage, starting with a small photo count.
Can it shoot with the screen locked?
No. Keep the app open during capture. It is not designed to take photos while the phone is locked or while you use another app.
Does unlimited mean it can run forever?
Unlimited removes a fixed photo-count ending; you stop manually. Battery, storage, temperature and system camera interruptions still apply. It does not guarantee continuous operation.
Saving and finding photos
Photos are not saving. What should I check?
Check permission to add photos and available device storage. You can review the app’s Photos access in iPhone Settings. Verify saving with a few photos before a larger session. If errors continue, note the on-screen message and contact the developer.
Where are my photos stored?
They are saved to the device’s photo library and can be found in Photos. Saved images can be edited and shared like your other photos. If iCloud Photos is enabled, syncing follows Apple’s service and your device settings.
Does the app upload my pictures to its server?
The app has no feature that uploads photos to its own server. iCloud Photos syncing and sharing you choose to perform are separate. Diagnostic information is also handled separately from photos; see the privacy explanation.
Before downloading
Which devices are supported?
The app is for iPhone with iOS 17 or later. Available lenses and zoom options depend on the device. Check the current App Store compatibility section before purchasing.
Can it make a time-lapse video?
The app saves separate photos. Making a video requires another editor or workflow that arranges those photos into a sequence.
Are there ads or an app account?
There are no ads and no app account registration. Purchasing and downloading use the App Store. Check your regional App Store for the current price and availability.
Still need help?
Contact the developer through CAEN’s official website. Include your iPhone model, iOS version, app version, capture interval and count, the steps that led to the problem, and any error message.
You do not need to send your photos. If you include a screenshot, check that it does not expose personal pictures, locations, notifications or other private information.
